Data List - Klamath Basin Pilot Project
All GIS data sets are in UTM (Universal Transverse Mecator) coordinate system (zone 10).
Theme | Thermal Survey |
Origin | Department of Forest Science, Oregon State University |
Format | ArcInfo GIS shapefile format |
Location | /shapefiles/thermal.shp |
Documentation | MetaData for Thermal Survey Point Coverage |
Description | Point coverage showing the location of each thermal image collected during the survey. Each point represents the location of the aircraft at the time the image was acquired. The attribute file contains the minimum and maximum temperatures found in each image. The median water temperature was sampled from every 5th image. |
Theme | Chinook Salmon Tracking |
Origin | Department of Forest Science, Oregon State University |
Format | ArcInfo GIS shapefile format |
Location | klamath\shapefiles\track.shp |
Documentation | MetaData for Tracking Point Coverage |
Description |
Point coverage showing Chinook Salmon locations using radio fish tracking. The tracking survey started at Ishipishi Falls and concluded at the Iron Gate Dam. The survey was conducted from early September through late October 1996. |
Theme | Pool Locations |
Origin | Department of Forest Science, Oregon State University |
Format | ArcInfo GIS shapefile format |
Location | \shapefiles\pools.shp |
Documentation | MetaData for Pools Point Coverage |
Description |
Point coverage showing pool locations found during a field survey of the river. The survey started at Humbug Point and concluded at the Sarah Tottoten Access. |
FLIR Images | Psuedo-color images showing the temperatures observed during the airborne survey conducted with the forward looking infrared radiometer (FLIR). The images are geo-referenced to points in thermal survey point coverage, but are not projected into real world coordinates. A discussion of thermal images and interpretation are provided. |
Location | klamath/flir/ |
Format | "gif" file format. |
Day Images | True color images digitized from video tape to correspond to the FLIR images. The file numbers correllate to the equivelant FLIR image number. The image frames are geo-referenced based on the thermal survey point coverage, but are not projected to real world coordinates. Example day images are provided with a discussion of the thermal images. |
