Sediment: Garcia below Rolling Brook - Gravel Permeability, MRC 2000 |
|
Caption: This chart shows mean pool-tail gravel permeabilities in the Garcia River below Rolling Brook in 2000. Whiskers show one standard error about the mean. Pool-tail permeabilities were very high at Site #1, and while results from segments #2 and #4 appear low, they actually compare very favorably with other permeabilities measured in tributaries in 1999 (McBain and Trush, 2000). The average permeability for the stream study segment is approximately 11000 cm/hr (pink line). Data were collected using methods of McBain and Trush (2000) by the Mendocino Redwood Company in 2000 as part of their long-term channel monitoring program. See InfoLinks for more information.
