Temperature: FWA Main Garcia River at Buckridge Bar 1997-2000 |
|
Caption: This chart plots floating weekly average temperature of the Garcia River at Buckridge Bar for the years 1997-2000. Floating weekly average temperatures exceeded 16.8° Celsius during significant periods of time of the three of the four years measured. Welsh et al. (2001) found that coho are not likely to persist where maximum floating weekly average temperature (MWAT) exceeds 16.8°C. Improving riparian conditions after cessation of gravel mining at this site may be helping water temperatures cools. See InfoLinks for more information.
