Temperature: FWA Main Garcia River at MRC Prop. Line 1997, 1999, 2001 |
|
Caption: This chart plots floating weekly average temperature of the Garcia River at the Mendocino Redwood Company's property line (upstream of South Fork Garcia) for the years 1997, 1999, and 2001. Floating weekly average temperatures exceeded 16.8° Celsius during almost the entire summer in all three years measured. This reach was, therefore, not suitable for coho juvenile rearing. Welsh et al. (2001) found that coho are not likely to persist where maximum floating weekly average temperature (MWAT) exceeds 16.8°C. See InfoLinks for more information.
