The KRIS Humboldt Bay Project is a joint venture of Redwood Community Action Agency (RCAA) and the Institute for Fisheries Resources, which has helped assimilate information for dozens of northwestern California watersheds. RCAA's purpose in working with IFR is to help improve availability of data and information collected during several cycles of grants and contracts associated with protecting and restoring the Humboldt Bay watershed.
KRIS Humboldt Bay is funded through the State Water Resources Control Board Proposition 13 funds (Agreement Number 03-212-551-0), which aims to improve the safety, quality and reliability of water supplies for Californians.
