Habitat: Pool Depth by Percent Survey Length for Southern Tribs |
|
Caption: The California Department of Fish and Game measures maximum depth for every pool surveyed. Pools with depths in excess of 3 feet provide higher quality salmonid rearing and holding habitat. These higher quality pools comprise less than 10% of the survey length in all but the three largest Southern Mattole streams. Streams are sorted by size because large streams (top) naturally provide deeper pools than small streams (bottom). See Info Links for more information.
