|
Caption: This chart shows the average number of fish per 30 meter reach according to the California Department of Fish and Game electrofishing surveys in mainstem Lagunitas Creek. Steelhead were the dominant species except in 1986 when they were out-numbered by sculpin. Neither suckers nor roach were found in this cold, forested tributary. Sampling from 1970, 1980, 1987, 1988, and 1990 were not included because only salmonid Data were available. Also, note though that values reported in this topic differ from the 1970-2000 Abundance topics because different numbers of sites were used to calculate average abundances to allow comparison among years and varying sampling methods.
