Fish: 1981 Electrofishing (Mean Fork Length) Walker Creek |
|
Caption: The graph shows the mean fork length of various species of fish in Walker Creek. These results were produced from electrofishing by the California Department of Fish and Game (CDFG) in October, 1981. The purpose of this survey was to determine the effects on fish populations of enhancement flows released from Soulajule Reservoir by the Marin Municipal Water District. CDFG notes that juvenile salmonid populations were greater than found prior to enhancement flow releases, but much less than expected. See Picture for the location of surveys and an image of a chart showing length frequency of steelhead juveniles captured. See Info Links for more information.
