Temperature: Floating Weekly Average Horse Linto @ 4 Locations 1998 |
|
Caption: The floating weekly average water temperature of Horse Linto Creek at four sites in 1998 is shown above. Horse Linto is coolest in its headwaters (upper) then warms to the location just above Cedar Creek. The temperature at the USFS Bridge just above the mouth is moderated by Cedar Creek. However both lower Horse Linto locations exceeded a maximum weekly average temperature (MWAT) of 16.8 C. This threshold represents suitability for coho salmon according to Welsh et al. (2001). Similar temperature thresholds have not been confirmed for the Klamath Basin and therefore threshold is shown only for reference. Data provided by Six Rivers National Forest.
