Click on image to enlarge (81K). Willow Creek weir under construction using a rubber tire skidder to place boulders. Heavy equipment is necessary to move boulders large enough to remain in place during high flows. Weirs were constructed in cooperation with CDFG and the Willow Creek Community Services District. Today the stream would likely be re-routed to avoid temporary sediment pollution shown as a result of this activity. Photo provided by Lower Trinity Ranger District, Six Rivers National Forest.
