Fish: Fall Chinook Bogus Creek 1978-2002 |
|
Caption: Fall Chinook salmon spawning escapement has been monitored annually by the California Department of Fish and Game since 1978 in Bogus Creek and other major Klamath sub-basins. Grilse are small male Chinook salmon that return after just one year in the ocean. Their abundance sometimes gives some indication of the following year's adult return. The number of fall Chinook spawners has ranged from a low of 785 in 1990 to a high of over 34,000 in 2000. These data are published annually by the Inland Fisheries Division of CDFG.
