Temperature: Floating Weekly Average of Cold Creek 1999 |
|
Caption: The floating weekly average water temperature of Cold Creek at three locations is displayed above for 1999. The Cold Creek spring at the Lucky Powerhouse has a nearly constant temperature of 8.5 degrees C and cools the creek. Cold Creek at the Lucky walking bridge above the spring source had a higher maximum weekly average temperature (MWAT) than Cold Creek above Bogus. The threshold for MWAT shown above is based on work by Welsh et al. (2001) and is the temperature above which coho salmon juveniles do not occur in northwestern California coastal basins. This relationship has not been verified for interior basins in the Klamath. Data from Siskiyou County Schools.
