Fish: Chinook Redds/Reach, Totals 1993 |
|
Caption: The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service surveyed the Klamath River from below Iron Gate Dam to Happy Camp for fall Chinook salmon redd distribution and results from 1993 are shown here. This is the lowest number of Chinook redds seen in any year of surveys from 1993 to 2002. Although the high number of spawners in Reach 1 may be a result, in part, of fish from Iron Gate Hatchery, the high number of spawners in the reach above Happy Camp are likely wild fish. Scroll down for reach identification. Reach 1: Iron Gate Dam to Ash Creek Access, 2: Ash Creek Access to Beaver Creek Riffle Access, 3: Beaver Creek Riffle Access to Blue Heron River Access, 4: Blue Heron River Access to Seiad Bar, 5: Seiad Bar Access to China Point, R 6: China Point to Indian Creek.
