Temperature: Floating Weekly Maximum Klamath R-Ranch to Lower 2000 |
|
Caption: The floating weekly maximum water temperature of the Klamath River is shown from January to October 2000 upstream to downstream at: R Ranch (below Iron Gate), Tree of Heaven, Seiad Valley, Rogers Creek and Weitchpec. The Tree of Heaven location shows a transition from lowest floating weekly maximum temperature in January and February to highest from April through late June. The Rogers Creek site above Somes Bar had the maximum floating weekly maximum temperature (MWMT) from late June through August. Data were collected and entered into KRIS by the Yurok Tribal Fisheries Department, Water Rights Division, Weitchpec, CA. A detailed look at the records for late July and early August show that Orleans and Weitchpec both exceeded the Tree of Heaven floating weekly maximum. See Info Links for more information.
