Caption: The Chart above displays minimum dissolved oxygen values for the entire 1996 field season at 18 Klamath Basin locations (see key below). Values below 5 milligrams per liter (mg/l) are stressful for fish life and occurred at several locations: J Canal, Lost River at the Oregon border, Tule Lake Pump 3 and the Klamath Straights Drain. Low dissolved oxygen values may not have been detected at some sites because of the time of sampling (see Shasta Topic: WQ: D.O. Nocturnal/Diurnal). Data provided by the North Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board. See Info Links for more information.
