Temperature: Temp Max Specimen Creek Longitudinal 2000 |
|
Caption: This chart shows the maximum daily water temperatures in 2000 along Specimen Creek. The water temperature in the Left Fork and Right Fork Specimen Creek remained below levels stressful to Salmonids during the entire season. The water temperature in Specimen above King Creek did reach levels stressful to Salmonids for a brief period in late July and early August. The data gap for the Right Fork Specimen Creek was caused by a faulty temperature sensor. Data were collected from automated temperature sensors called Hobotemps, which were anchored in flowing water in the shade between May and November 2000. Hobotemps were monitored by community volunteers and paid staff of the Salmon River Restoration Council.
