Fish: Electrofishing Catch Con Creek 1994 |
|
Caption: This chart displays capture data from a single pass electrofishing survey on a reach of Con Creek on November 6, 1986. Steelhead were the only fish captured. Data were provided by California Department of Fish and Game. Click on Info Links for more information. In a CDFG field note from May 13, 1954, the surveyor noted that steelhead utilized one mile of Con Creek for spawning. In addition, he writes, "The watershed of Conn (sic) Creek has suffered from extensive logging operations resulting in erosion." During a stream survey on 11/27/67 and 1/5/68, CDFG staff found no evidence of salmonids in Con Creek, noting bedrock substrate and a waterfall barrier one mile from the mouth.
