Fish: Electrofishing Totals Navarro River Sites #1 and #2 1952 |
|
Caption: The chart shows electrofishing totals for all species caught at two sites on the Navarro River on August 12, 1952. The data were used for a study on the impact of "trout" fishing on anadromous fish in coastal streams. Both locations were just below the convergence of Flume Gulch and had fish communities dominated by the Navarro roach, sculpin and stickleback, although steelhead juveniles were present at both sites. Sampling for this study also took place on the Garcia and Gualala rivers. See Info Links for more discussion about methods and for a link to the original CDFG (1953) study.
