Fish: Fall Chinook Scott Basin 1978-2002 |
|
Caption: Fall Chinook salmon spawning escapement has been monitored annually by the California Department of Fish and Game since 1978 in the Scott River Basin. Grilse are small male Chinook salmon that return after just one year in the ocean. Their abundance sometimes gives some indication of the following year's adult return. The number of fall Chinook spawners has ranged from a low of 1615 in 1990 to a high of 12657 in 1995. These data are published annually by the Inland Fisheries Division of CDFG.
