Fish: Adult Chinook/Week @ Shasta Racks 88-92 |
|
Caption: Average daily Chinook counts by week at the Shasta Racks are displayed above for years from 1988 to 1992. Data were collected by the California Department of Fish and Game. Fall Chinook salmon enter the Shasta River to spawn from the second week in September (week 37) to mid-November. Time of entry into the river may be related to stream flow and temperature with run timing shifted later in drought years such as 1990, 1991 and 1992 (see Fish: Adult CH migration/temperature).
