Sediment: SF Trinity - Cumulative Particle Distribution, GMA 2002 |
|
Caption: This chart shows sieve-analyzed cumulative particle size distributions from bulk McNeil samples taken in the South Fork Trinity in 2002. Both surface (the depth of the largest particle) and sub-surface (down to 1 ft depth) samples are represented. The median particle size (D50) of all surface samples were approximately 35 mm and the sub-surface median particle size were between 9.5 mm and 16 mm. Percent fines less than 1 mm ranged from 3-7%. South Fork Trinity samples sites were located: near Eltapom Creek (SFTEC), near Hyampom upstream of the Hayfork Creek confluence (SFTHR), and near Forest Glen (SFTFG). Data were collected and provided by Graham Mathews and Associates. See Info Links for more information.
