Habitat: Habitat Types by Length North Fork Navarro Sub-basin 1996 |
|
Caption: The chart reflects pool frequency by length of North Fork Navarro River and tributaries according to CDFG 1996 habitat typing surveys. Pool habitat by percent length (blue bars) ranged from 5% (Big Gulch) to 50% (Flynn Creek). The red bars indicate that some tributaries were so aggraded that they lacked surface flow during the time of survey. According to CDFG (1998) benchmarks for percent pool habitat, most streams of the North Fork Navarro River sub-basin provide poor habitat (<25%), and only Flynn Creek provides good habitat (>50%). Streams are sorted by Strahler order, with larger streams at the top. See Info Links for more information.
