Sediment: Knopp V* for North Branch NF Navarro and local streams, 1992 |
|
Caption: The chart shows results from Knopp (1993) measuring fine sediment in pools using the V* technique for streams in coastal Mendocino County. The North Branch of the North Fork Navarro River had very high volumes of fine sediment relative to water in pools. The Navarro River TMDL threshold for V* of 0.15 is shown for reference. Knopp (1993) found significant relationships between V* and watershed disturbance, particularly logging and road building. See Info Links for more information.
