| Caption: The graph shows instantaneous nitrate concentrations measured in Americano Creek and the Estero Americano during 1988-1990. Note that Stations E-1and E-5 are estuarine. Average values were usually lowest in summer and highest in fall. This monitoring was part of a water quality study of Americano and Stemple Creek by Merritt Smith Consulting for the City of Santa Rosa and U.S. Army Corp of Engineers. Some nitrate measurements were below the minimum detection limit (MDL), and therefore half of the MDL was reported for that value.
