Fish: Beach Seining All Species by CPUE 1996-97 |

Caption: This chart shows catch per unit effort (CPUE) by species from beach seining samples between May 21, 1996 and December 3, 1997 at three sites in the Navarro River Estuary. The chart shows that steelhead were the most abundant species at all stations. Ocean dwelling species (i.e. surf smelt, sardines, herring), were generally found near the mouth in the area of highest salinity, although bay pipefish were found in the upper estuary. Data were taken from Table 3 of the Navarro Estuary report (Cannata, 1998). See Info Links for more information.
